Surprised me!

I was able to snag a cabin last minute for 2 nights here and was pleased with the accommodations. The food at Russell’s on the Run was great every time! My favorite was the grilled chicken club sandwich, and the homemade huckleberry BBQ sauce with my chicken strips was a good touch. The creamy cheesecake with huckleberry sauce was the perfect ending to our meals. Plus, lodging customers can call in their orders ahead of time and skip the line, which was a fantastic perk!

Lakeside cabin with a view

We enjoyed our stay in Cabin 12 B which was in the ideal location, facing the lake with a lovely path leading down to the water. The cabin had a nice porch to relax on and although it was warm during our visit, the box fan provided comfort in the evenings. The cabin was spacious enough for us and had a clean, cozy feel.

Cozy Cabin Experience

I cannot recommend Lake McDonald Lodge enough! The beds in our cabin were incredibly comfortable, providing a cozy retreat after long days exploring the natural beauty around us. The fresh white duvets, along with the abundance of pillows, made for a fantastic sleeping experience; I felt right at home!

I had a lovely experience at Lake McDonald, staying at both a historic cabin and Snyder Hall. The cabins offered comfy beds and beautiful lake views, while Snyder Hall had a charming common area for breakfast. However, the rooms were quite small and lacked some amenities like microwaves and fridges. The dining experience was delightful, but the shared bathrooms at Snyder Hall may not suit everyone. Overall, it was a relaxing stay surrounded by nature.

I had a wonderful experience at the Lodge, which is set in a truly spectacular location surrounded by glorious mountains. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, helping to enhance our stay. However, the Wi-Fi didn't reach our room and there were no elevators, which might be inconvenient for some guests. But overall, it was a great value for what we experienced during our visit.
